Trinity Centennial Band

Welcome to our organization

Founded in 1992 by Russ Speicher, to celebrate the centennial of Mount Pocono’s Trinity Episcopal Church, the Trinity Centennial Band is comprised of volunteer amateur and professional musicians primarily from Monroe County.  These wonderful musicians all volunteer their time.  We love to play.  That’s why we’re here!
Our Directors:
Russ Speicher:  A beloved music educator in the Pocono Mountain School District from 1960 to 1991, Russ was a driving force in vocal and instrumental community music in the Poconos.  Russ directed the TCB from its founding in 1992 until his death in 2002.
Ralph Harrison:  Ralph taught music and directed bands at all grade levels in the Stroudsburg Area School District for 38 years. He was also very active in community and professional bands in the Poconos, and assumed leadership of TCB after Russ's passing.  Ralph saw the band grow in size and talent during his ten year leadership, from 2003 to 2012.
Karl McDannell has been our director since the 2013 season.  The TCB has been lucky to have talent arrive when needed, and Karl moved to the Poconos after retiring from a music education career on Long Island that included directing high school, university, and community bands. Karl expanded the performance calendar from a summer-only band to include several indoor concerts during the winter and spring months."
